Skip-the-line entrance to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

The skip the line was great . We had no waiting around and went straight through to the security area. The experience was good although we found it difficult to find the right place to get our reserved tickets before going in to the Vatican City. We had to ask a lot of tourists information centres where to go to collect our tickets. I don’t think the details of the meeting point is clear enough. Once we got our tickets it was overall a great experience.

It wasn’t worth us paying for skip the line as our electronic tickets were not accepted when we presented them and we were directed to a tourist office to get them printed. The new tickets were a different format as the tourist office were simply not allowed to print them. A favour by providing new tickets for us free of charge but they were not skip the line. It would be helpful to know which tours need paper tickets and which can use electronic.

Our visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine chapel certainly was a day out to remember as well as a spiritual experience. And seeing the Micheal Angelo paintings for me was thrilling. And the art in the galleries was thought provoking and had me on highs and lows. A very worthwhile day out.
