Pico do Arieiro sunset tour

Don’t bother. Get a taxi/Uber for a fraction of the price and with no other hotel stops on the way. No guide at all. No facilities. Ridiculous price for glorified taxi trip. The walk and sunset was amazing but don’t know how Tui can justify the experience when it’s basically a taxi run

Wir wurden pünktlich abgeholt, die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war gut, es war nicht viel los. Die Wanderung oben war abenteuerlich und der Ausblick unbezahlbar, wir hatten ein tollen Sonnenuntergang! Allerdings viel zu teuer für nur hin-und Rückfahrt, vorher gab es oben auch mal Essen dazu was abgeschafft wurde, also vorher dinieren. Etwas kühler ist es dort schon und keine Toiletten.

The pick up was 30 minutes late due to traffic. The actual experience lasted 2.5hours from pick up to drop off, it was advertised as 4.5 hours. The meal was rushed as we were late getting there and although the food was nice there were no choices. The meal was eaten in a brick barn, which was quite odd. The sunset was stunning, but it was advertised as seeing the stars as well, but we left before the sun had set fully so didn't get to see the stars. It was a lot of money for a short excursion.

It was good travelling to a different part of the island & witnessing the change in landscape & atmosphere. The meal was very tasty & location put a unique touch to the evening which we enjoyed. Found memories made.

Our guide George was lovely, a really nice experience overall.
