Why not treat yourself with a relaxing boat trip which serves up the little luxuries that make being on holiday so special? Set sail from Side aboard a traditional gulet for this adults-only cruise for a day of sun, scenery and snoozing. What's more, there's an open bar stocked with local drinks as well as lunch and plenty of chances to cool off with a swim. Haluk, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Gulets were originally used for fishing and sponging around the Mediterranean. From the 1970s onwards, these wooden schooners became a popular way to ferry holidaymakers around the bays of the Aegean coast.'

Settle down to watch the coastline unfurl as you sail out of Side harbour – with the breeze in your hair, sparkling sea and a bar onboard, it's easy to unwind. We'll cruise along the Mediterranean coast and into the River Manavgat. Soak up every inch of Side's photogenic surroundings while your skipper sails and the crew look after you. With plenty of space and a guaranteed sunbed to top up your tan, you can relax on deck as we find the perfect place to drop anchor for a swim.

Then you'll head inside either the ancient theatre, which is a sight to behold – it seated up to 20,000 spectators – or the former bathhouse, which is now a museum with a small but impressive collection of the artefacts dug up here.But one of the most-photographed spots is the Temple of Apollo. All dark wood and sturdy sails, it's every bit the authentic pirate ship. Accompanied by a crew of Jack Sparrow-style sailors, we'll cast off down the River Manavgat. The kids will be busy learning pirate language and having their faces painted by the entertainment team, while adults can sit back and sip on a refreshing drink from the bar.
