U laat de rest van de wereld achter u en begeeft zich naar de ascetische gemeenschap van de Heilige Berg. Vanuit het Heilige Klooster van Dochiarion komt u langs kloosters, kleine kloosterdorpjes (Sketes) en Dafni, de belangrijkste haven van de berg Athos.

Verzamelen bij de haven van Ouranoupoli, vlakbij de Toren van Prosphorion. De boot heet EIRINIKOS en ligt voor anker op de derde plek aan de rechterkant. Zorg ervoor dat u minstens 30 minuten voor aanvang aanwezig bent.

Na de sightseeingcruise naar de kloosters van Athos en de haven van Daphne, bezoekt u het eiland Ammouliani. Neem uw zwemkleding mee voor een duik in het kristalheldere water.

In mei en oktober wordt er een stop gemaakt in de centrale haven van het eiland, Ammouliani

Als het weer niet geschikt is, vooral als sterke wind ons ervan weerhoudt om aan te meren bij het strand van Alikes, kan de kapitein een veiligere haven voor uw stop kiezen

Halkidiki boat trip with Neos Marmaras visit, swimming and lunch

Slow down and ease into a day where you'll escape the crowds and experience a little laidback luxury as you cruise around the western shore of Halkidiki's Sithonia Peninsula. Helene, a local guide, says “this tour takes us to some of my favourite spots. Spathies Beach has secluded coves without the usual hustle and bustle of the resorts, while Neos Marmaras offers a balance of cosy tavernas and traditional Greek charm, with modern bars and facilities.” You'll head to Nikiti Port where your boat awaits. From here, you'll sail down the coast of the Toroneos Gulf before dropping anchor at Spathies Beach for your first swim stop. Helene adds, “make sure you grab a snorkel and mask to make the most of this hotspot for parrotfish and damselfish – you may find an octopus hiding in rocky reefs, too.” Then, it's back on board to sail towards Neos Marmaras Village.There's free time for a wander around the village, where you can shop for souvenirs or chat with the friendly locals – it's the best way to soak up the culture. Then, you'll return to the sea and sail to Kelyfos Island, affectionally known as Turtle Island, while enjoying a light lunch on board. The cliffs of this tiny island make for some curious-looking cave formations at its edge that beg to be explored. Take the plunge off the side of the boat and swim around this uninhabited land. Or, if your idea of fun is simply basking on the deck with some music and a cold drink in hand, then feel free to unwind. Whatever floats your boat, you'll want to drink in the coastal views as you sail back to the harbour after a day of escapism.
