På denne heldagsrundtur begiver vi os op ad skråningerne på vulkanen Teide, hvor en valgfri kabelbanetur kan tage dig til toppen. Juana, en af vores dygtige lokale guider, siger: "Teide Nationalpark og det omkringliggende Corona Skov og Naturreservat udgør tilsammen en tredjedel af Tenerifes landmasse - det er ubeskriveligt, hvor meget vulkanen dominerer vores ø".

De dramatiske vulkanske landskaber venter dig, mens du begiver dig ind i Teide Nationalpark for at opleve selve det største trækplaster - det 3700 meter høje Teide-bjerg. Mens du bestiger bjerget, kommer du gennem fire forskellige klimazoner, som skaber et evigt skiftende kalejdoskop af terræn, flora og fauna. Og på grund af sin geologiske betydning er parken optaget på UNESCO's Verdensarvsliste. Juana forklarer: "Parken kan bryste sig af en række landskaber, der tiltrækker fotografer. Der er den afsvedne jord på lavamarkerne, de forrevne klippeformationer i Roques de Garcia, de Marslignende ødemarker omkring Montaña Rajada og fyrreskovene i Corona Forestal".

Som ekstra valgmulighed kan du benytte kabelbanen, der kører til lige under vulkanens top. Fra denne højde kan du, hvis vejret tillader det, nyde en fantastisk udsigt over Tenerife og resten af den kanariske øgruppe, der stikker op af Atlanterhavet. Alternativt kan du måske se det berømte "hav af skyer", som ofte svæver under toppen.
