Hvis din idé om en sjov søndag betyder at gennemse markedsboder, prøve lokale specialiteter og nyde den lokale kultur, så er denne morgentur lige noget for dig. Vi besøger tre markeder i tre bjergbyer og får et fantastisk indblik i det ægte Gran Canaria.

Vi starter i Santa Brigida. Bygget på skråningerne af grønne bjerge, vågner byen til live med sit søndagsmarked. Når du har set hvad dette marked tilbyder, fortsætter vi til San Mateo. Byen ligger i en frugtbar dal og er den perfekte ramme for dyrkning af frugt og grøntsager.

Det sidste stop er i, hvad mange anser for den smukkeste by på øen – Teror. Farverige kolonihuse, smukke træbalkoner og udsigt over de skyindhyllede bjerge er blot nogle af grundene til, at stedet er så værdsat. Udforsk boderne på gademarkedet og køb eventuelt en chorizo. Herefter returnerer vi til Playa del Ingles.

The markets were under whelming to say the least. First one was in a small courtyard not even a market. The second one was a bit bigger with few more stalls. The last one was very disappointing with only one shop for gifts. The rest were cheese and olive stalls. The tour guide just left us to wonder around on our own. Definitely poor value for money and not worth it!

Efter vores mening er 3 markeder for meget, undvær det lille marked og brug mere tid på fx det største marked, det vil også give mere tid og mulighed for at støtte lokalt via indkøb og mad

Guide, Peter, was lovely and knowledgeable. Spoke in English and German on our tour so nobody missed anything. Markets were fab - couldve done with another half hour at Teror Market as it was the biggest with much more to see/buy. Overall though was a fab day out.

The journey was extremely uncomfortable, as we were crammed into a minibus, and the seats were so close together it was difficult to sit straight in the seat - our knees were pressed against the seat in front. This detracted from what was otherwise a good trip, although the first market was not up to much, 10 minutes would have sufficed. The last two markets were great, and gave us a good snapshot into Canarian life.
