Først tager vi til Silves, i hjertet af det appelsinvoksende land ved foden af højlandet. Vi besøger slottet for at beundre udsigten, lære om dens mauriske fortid og nyde et stykke kage og et glas appelsinjuice i caféen. Vi fortsætter derefter udflugten dybt ind i Monchique-bjergene, hvor vi stopper på en restaurant til frokost.

Dernæst er Mt Foia, Algarves højeste punkt. Her kan du nyde panoramaudsigten over landskabet. Vi besøger også en butik, hvor der er likørsmagning. Derefter tager vi til Monchique for at udforske dens brostensbelagte gader og traditionelle butikker. Vi runder dagen af med en guidet rundtur i Caldas de Monchique.

Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn wir an manchen Orten etwas mehr Zeit gehabt hätten. Es hätte auch mal einen Fotostopp geben können.Zum Beispiel bei der Storchen -Wiese .

Le guide était très intéressant et sympathique mais le fait que l'excursion soit pour les français et les anglais en même temps engendre une perte de temps considérable puisque le guide doit tout expliquer dans les deux langues. De ce fait, beaucoup d'attente dans le château pour entendre la version française puisqu'elle alterne avec l'anglaise, donc manque de temps pour se promener dans le château et faire les boutiques ensuite. L'excursion de Silves se fait donc au pas de course, dommage.

Very informative, lovely lunch, tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Felt very comfortable as a solo traveller. It was very cloudy so no view from the final stop on top of the mountain which was disappointing but out of everyone's control. The rest of the stops and views were beautiful with clear skies.

Unfortunately the guide had to translate into two languages, this took far to long. We had no time to have any free time. The guide was very boring I think due to the languages he had to translate. Maybe don't put two different languages together. The scenery was stunning and the food was amazing
