The Basilica of St. Peter's may be subject to unscheduled closings and late openings for religious ceremonies. Because these are often last-minute for security reasons, there's no time to notify the guests. To obtain the student discount, you must show a valid student ID must on the day of the tour. If a student does not have a valid student ID, they may be charged a new full ticket price by the Museums, which must be paid on the day of the tour
As this is a walking tour with steps and staircases, comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are strongly recommended

Refunds will not be provided for missed tours
Large bags, backpacks, tripods and large umbrellas cannot be brought into the museums. These items will have to be left at the museum coat check and retrieved after your visit. It would be best to leave such items at your hotel
A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
Please note that the Vatican Museums provide free entrance for visitors who are (according to the requirements stated by the Vatican City) at least 74% disabled by presenting the appropriate certification and, if one needs assistance by another person, that person also receives a free entrance. Please inform your local tour operators when booking if you fit into these requirements and they will remove the pricing of the entry tickets from the price of the tour
