Things to do in Krakow Old Town
The Old Town of Krakow is one of the first sites that have made it onto UNESCO's original World Heritage List. The historic central district, known in Polish as Stare Miasto takes you back to medieval times and used to be surrounded by a 3-km long defensive wall with 46 towers and seven main entrances. When exploring, visitors should start with the ‘Royal Route’ which used to be the coronation path of the Polish kings when Kraków served as the royal capital. A lot of the most famous sights lay along this route - from the Florianska Gate to the Wawel Castle.
