Att göra – Markusplatsen
Markusplatsen i Venedig är en av de viktigaste italienska torgen, högt beundrad av turister från hela världen för sin skönhet och arkitektur.
Med sin trapetsform och längd på 170 meter representerar den hjärtat av lagunstaden och är värd för några av de viktigaste monumenten i staden som Markuskyrkan, Markusklockan, Markuskolonnerna och Sankt Markus. Theodore, Dogepalatset och Klocktornet (den enda renässansbyggnaden på Markusplatsen).
Markuspelaren innehar statyn av Markuslejonet, symbolisk framställning av evangelisten Markus, avbildad som ett bevingat lejon. Det är den hundra år gamla symbolen för Venedig, för dess forntida republik, och nuvarande symbol för kommunen i provinsen Venedig, liksom regionen Veneto.

“Good tour due mainly to our tour guide. We were expecting to visit all the places listed on the tour, not only from outside. We had to go the following day and pay a ticket to visit some places inside. A bit pricey but it's nice to visit a place without crowds especially in such a busy city.”
