Discover the essence of South Crete on a journey where wine, coast, and culture take centre stage. Your day begins with an optional visit to one of the island’s top wineries, nestled in the heart of Crete. Here, you can add a tasting experience to savour distinctive local varieties and learn the stories and traditions that shape Cretan wine.

Next, you'll travel to the village of Matala, once a haven for the hippie community of the 1960s and 70s. Its free-spirited past still lingers in the colourful alleys, relaxed atmosphere, and iconic beach. Enjoy a refreshing swim, soak in the laid-back vibe, or step inside the cliffside caves where the hippies once lived.

A traditional Cretan lunch follows in a local taverna, prepared with fresh regional ingredients and accompanied by wine.

The experience concludes with a scenic route that showcases the diverse landscapes of southern Crete. This tour blends local flavours, wine culture, nature and Cretan hospitality into one memorable day.

Hotel pick-up and drop-off are available in the wider areas of Sissi, Malia, Stalis, Hersonissos – Koutouloufari – Piskopiano, Anissaras – Analipsi, Gouves – Kokkini Hani, Heraklion, Amoudara. You'll indicate your pick-up address at checkout. Please be ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes prior to departure. Kindly present your voucher to the driver.

The use of the seat belt is mandatory
A baby seat is required for safety reasons for infants ages 0-1 (please inform the local partner in advance if you need one). A child booster can be requested for ages 2-11

Es wurde nicht erwähnt das die Hauptattraktion, mit der geworben wurde (die wasserfälle) garnicht in der tour dabei waren. Sie waren ausgetrocknet, aber das wäre ein Problem das jahrelang schon bekannt ist. Als Ersatz gab es die unnötige Ruckel-Fahrt über einen Berg. Das hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Eine Warnung über den kaum begehbaren Strand wäre schön gewesen und alles in allem war der preis von 170€ für 2 Personen einfach eine Frechheit. Danke aber nein Danke Der Guide war nett

Gids was erg informatief in maar liefst 3 talen, stopte onderweg een paar keer om verse kruiden aan ons te geven en maakte leuke foto's van ons. De jeep zat erg comfortabel als je op de eerste en tweede rij zat. Achterin zitten is denk ik meer voor tieners of zeer flexibele jonge mensen. Nogmaals complimenten voor de gids die zeer leuk was.

We hebben een heerlijke dag gehad met onze guide Mikel. We hebben veel tussenstops gemaakt, waarbij er ook aangeboden werd om foto’s te maken. Verder zat er een heerlijke lunch inbegrepen en werd er goede muziek afgespeeld en veel grapjes gemaakt. Het was een dag vol gezelligheid en plezier. Het offroad gedeelte was ook erg leuk en voelde ook veilig. Er werd op een rustig tempo gereden en goed rekening gehouden met het andere verkeer. Deze excursie is absoluut een aanrader!
