The event kicks off with the Proclamation and the "Planta," when bonfires and lots of different monuments are placed around the city – some of them get up to be 20 metres tall.The most anticipated moment of the festival is St John's Day, June 24th, when a purifying fire consumes the bonfires during an event known as the "Nit de la Crema."
