Figées dans le temps par la tragédie, Pompéi et Herculanum sont à visiter absolument sur la côte amalfitaine. Ces deux villes romaines ont été ensevelies sous les cendres volcaniques à la suite d'une éruption catastrophique du Vésuve en l'an 79. Aujourd'hui mises au jour, elles sont toutes deux classées au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO et offrent un aperçu fascinant et parfois obsédant de la vie à l'époque classique.

Tout d'abord, votre guide vous conduira dans les rues de Pompéi et vous montrera les villas richement décorées des classes supérieures romaines - vous pouvez encore voir des fresques sur les murs - ainsi que les espaces publics tels que le Forum. Promenez-vous dans les rues pavées et admirez les vestiges des temples et des villas.

L'après-midi, vous vous rendrez sur le site archéologique d'Herculanum. Vous y découvrirez l'histoire de cette ancienne ville côtière sauvée de l'oubli. Vous verrez les hangars à bateaux où reposent de nombreux réfugiés ainsi que les sols en marbre, les mosaïques et les fresques.

Les sacs de plus de 30x30x15cm ne sont pas admis à Pompéi et à Herculanum. Un vestiaire gratuit permet de déposer les effets personnels.

Capri and Anacapri from Amalfi Coast

Capri Island Boat Cruise from Maiori

Capri is a small island with a big reputation. On this boat trip, you'll cruise around it, with stops to take in famous natural landmarks as well as swim in the sea. There's also the option of a visit to the Blue Grotto. That's not all though – there'll be some free time in Capri town.Travelling from Maiori, you'll zoom over to Positano or Praiano port by speedboat. On arrival, you'll be welcomed aboard a traditional Sorrentine gozzo boat and sail across the Bay of Naples to Capri. Cruise past the Natural Arch, Santa Croce Bay and the fjord of Furore. There's also a photo stop at Marina di Praia. We'll then continue west, drifting by the Sirenuse Islands, locally known as Li Galli – ‘the Cocks'.Once we've reached Capri, you'll catch sight of the White Grotto, the Natural Arch, Villa Malaparte, Faraglioni Rocks, Marina Piccola and the Green Grotto for a swim. There's an optional visit into the Blue Grotto available, too. We'll then dock in Capri town for some free time for shopping. To round off the cruise, there'll be a swimming stop on the return to Maiori.
