Italialainen arkkitehti Niccolò Nasoni rakensi kellotornin osaksi Igreja dos Clérigos –kirkkoa 1700-luvulla noudattaen barokin arkkitehtonista tyyliä. 75 metrin korkeuteen kohoava torni ei ole vain Porton, vaan yksi koko Portugalin korkeimmista nähtävyyksista.
