Semperoper er operahuset for den saksiske statsopera og koncertsalen for det saksiske statsorkester. Den fantastiske bygning er opkaldt efter dens arkitekt Gottfried Semper, der tegnede den i 1841. Operahuset blev genopbygget efter en ødelæggende brand i 1869 og har siden været vidne til mange premierer herunder berømte værker af Richard Wagner og Richard Strauss.
