Piraten Tim og papegøjen Calypso har brug for alle mand på dæk for at finde deres forsvundne skat. Men først skal du gennemgå en grundig træning i alle de færdigheder, du har brug for for at blive en TUI-pirat. Yannis, en lokal guide, forklarer, at der er noget for alle på denne tur: ”Det er ren fornøjelse for de små, da besætningen virkelig lever sig ind i rollen og spreder energi og smil som pirater. Men du har også denne vilde, naturlige baggrundskulisse, mens du sejler forbi afsides strande og svømmer i glitrende klart vand under de høje klipper i St Georges Bay.”

Når vi stikker til søs fra Chersonissos Havn, sørger vores besætning for, at du kommer i piratstemning med ansigtsmaling og spændende temalege de små lømler og udfordringer for de ældre besætningsmedlemmer. Derudover er der et skattekort og spor at følge, så sørg for at medbrinde have dine skarpsindigste søfartsinstinkter klar.

Derefter, for at tage en pause fra al den vilde sjov, kaster vi anker i Skt. George-bugten for at tage en dukkert. Dette rolige sted er ideelt til at slappe af og nyde udsigten til havgrotterne, der er udhulet i de klippefyldte klipper, og det omgivende grønne landskab. Det vil føles, såsom om du er millioner af kilometer væk fra Malia. Her har du omkring en time til at strække dig ud på det fine gyldne sand og svømme i det rolige, lave vand, der gør det til et hit for familier. This was a phenomenal trip for the kiddies! My 7 year old loved being a pirate, swimming in the sea, steering the ship and hunting for the ‘Pirate of Crete’. Chrissie was an amazing host, remembering all the children’s names and making them all feel special. My son hasn’t stopped talking about this trip - definitely the highlight of his holiday.

Die Musik war zu laut. Nach zweifachem Hinweis wurde die Lautstärke reduziert, aber nach dem ersten Stopp wieder laut gemacht. Die Qualität des Mittagessens war grenzwertig. Eine TUI Mitarbeiterin bemüht und überlastet, die anderen beiden nur schmückendes Beiwerk.

Guide, coach excellent, ship crew very good. The actual boat would not be allowed to go to sea in the UK by the MCSA due to its condition with passengers on board. There was no safety briefing and no indication of where lifejackets and other equipment was. The trip started in reasonable weather and the first anchorage was good but the second location was neither suitable or pleasant due to increasing wind strength and building sea with the ship pitching and rolling heavily. Several were seasick.

Für die Kinder gab es kein Piratenzertifikat und kein Halstuch (wie es in der Buchung stand). Das Essen war sehr hart (für die Erwachsenen) und das der Kinder (Spaghetti) kalt. Wir waren von dem Ausflug sehr enttäuscht!

Loved it I’m not sure how busy it would be normally but we was expecting it to be packed and to our delight it was hardly full at all about 5 families at max plenty of room, not ontop of each other all friendly it was a great day. The captain was a good laugh really enjoyed it thanks everyone. Black pearl 1 I think it was the smaller one. empty in comparison which helped lunch was also great! Apart from the children’s spag bowl didn’t have much sauce in it one area for improvement there :)

Erste gingen wieder raus, bevor andere überhaupt im Wasser waren - Barbeque an Board: ein durchgegrilltes, staubtrockenes Kotelette, habe Kartoffel und für Kinder wässrige Nudeln mit 2 Batzen Tomatensauce - Brüllende Musik aus 1990ern (für 45/50-jährige ja lustig, für Kinder Schwachsinn - Spiele an Board: durch Zufall entdeckte Malsachen,… - TUI-Staff, die selbst schwimmen gehen anstelle sich um Gäste zu kümmern.

Off-road adventures don't get more fun than this. On this evening tour, you'll buckle up for a thrilling ride through the Cretan mountains, taking in villages, landmarks and more. What's more, there'll be a traditional dinner at a local taverna waiting for you. Vaggelis, one of our local expert guides, says 'Lassithi Plateau was said to be the birthplace of Zeus, the king of the Greek gods. According to legend, his mother, Rhea, hid the newborn in a cave on the plateau to protect him from being devoured by his father. It's one of the best places in Crete to grab a bird's-eye view of the north'.It all starts the moment you hop aboard your 4x4 and head for the mountains. You'll stop by Aposelemis basin reservoir and ancient Roman aqueducts, before following the path to the village of Kastamonitsa. Here, you'll be greeted with a tipple of fiery raki. Vaggelis says, 'After the grape harvest, the leftover skins, seeds, and stems are fermented and then distilled to produce raki, a tradition that many Cretan families proudly maintain'.You'll continue along the Minoan path, taking in the wildlife and scenery while learning all about local mythology and history. You'll stop for a glass of sweet, sparkling wine and admire Lassithi Plateau, as well as its iconic views. And once you've built up an appetite, you'll head to a local taverna for a traditional Cretan-style dinner with unlimited wine. Crete is the cradle of wine history, with its authentic country life and indigenous grape varieties dating far back to the ancient Minoans. Veta, one of our local guides, says ‘What I like most about showing visitors around on this tour is that they meet the local producers and farmers and hear their stories.' Over the course of the day, you'll taste locally produced olive oil, enjoy a typical Cretan lunch, and sip on regional whites and reds at an award-winning winery.We'll begin our culinary adventure at the Kriti Allios olive oil producer, set among olive groves to the south of Heraklion. Here we'll tour the facilities and surrounding groves before a Cretan olive oil tasting session. ‘Olive oil has been a Cretan staple since Minoan times. Archeologists have found evidence that the Minoans, the earliest Cretan civilization, used olive oil for rituals, medicine and culinary purposes,' adds Veta. After the tasting, there's a tasty farm fresh lunch to tuck into with traditional local delicacies.Next, we'll pay a visit to family-run Titakis Winery. Its wines have won multiple awards in the past decade, especially the Kotsifali reds. After a tour of the estate and the wine production areas, you'll taste four different wines, accompanied by breadsticks and olives. Veta says, ‘There's always a bottle on the dinner table in Cretan homes – and often it'll be from this winery. The Titakis family has a strong focus on the production of rare local varieties.'

Yannis, a local guide, explains that there's something for everyone on this trip, “it's full-on fun for the little ones, as the crew really get into character and bring energy and smiles as pirates. But you also get this wild, natural backdrop to the day as you sail past tucked away beaches and swim in sparkling clear waters under the towering cliffs of St Georges Bay.”Setting sail from Chersonissos Port, our shipmates will make sure you get into the pirate spirit, with face painting and exciting themed games for the little scallywags, and challenges for the older crew members. Plus, there's a treasure map and clues to follow, so make sure you have your sharpest seafaring instincts at the ready.Then, to take a break from all the swashbuckling fun, you'll drop anchor at St. George's Bay for a dip. This quiet spot is ideal for relaxing and soaking up the views of the sea caves cut into rocky cliffs and the surrounding greenery. It'll feel like you're a million miles from Malia. You'll have around an hour here to stretch out on the fine golden sand and swim in the calm shallow waters that make it a winner for families. You'll arrive back at the port in the mid-afternoon – with plenty of time still to chill by the pool after your pirating adventure.

Andreas, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The Minoans were very advanced, and the Palace of Knossos showcases architectural techniques such as multi-storey buildings and a sophisticated drainage system that were ahead of their time.'You'll start the morning in Rethymnon's maze of colourful streets, where you can browse the shops, find a little cafe or head down to the harbour. Curving around the small bay, Rethymnon harbour is as pretty as it is old. The views of the Venetian-era Fortezza and out to sea are a delight. Next up is Crete's capital, Heraklion. Here, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the city's best bits, such as the Venetian lion fountain and the loggia. There'll be some free time to explore at your own pace, too.Last but by no means least, the last stop of the day is a guided visit of the Palace of Knossos. Admire treasures like the throne room, royal apartments, and the fabulous frescoes. Family tour to the mountains of Crete with Mythological Park

This action-packed day brings the essence of Crete to life for all the family. Discover Greek mythology as you explore scenic mountain trails on an off-road adventure leading to the Lassithi plateau. There's a chance to have a go at making ceramics and a visit to the Mythological Park, too. Katerina, one of our expert local guides, enthusiastically says, ‘Lassithi plateau is a personal favourite on this tour. You'll be greeted by the sight of dozens of windmills that dot the landscape. They were built in the 19th century to grind grain, and are now a symbol of the region.'Kick off on a trail which climbs into the mountains to reach the first stop at the Aposelimi dam. From here we'll make our way to a viewpoint where we can see across the Lassithi plateau, a high, fertile plain that legend states was the birthplace of Zeus.Rumbling down to the plateau, we'll head to a ceramics workshop and olive oil producer. It's a fun stop for the kids who will have plenty of time to have a go at making their own pottery creations. Next up is the Mythological park, where you'll find out all about ancient Greek myths - the special lighting and sound effects alongside the audio tour make the park enjoyable for all ages. Round off the day with a late lunch in a taverna, before calling in at the village of Krassi, which is famous for a 2,000-year old plane tree and has a natural spring water source.
